As your professional association, Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC) connects you to the nursing profession beyond your workplace or role. We help you stay informed, access practical supports and learning opportunities, and ensure nurses’ perspectives are part of the conversations and decisions that shape the profession.
Our website is one of the main ways we do that. That’s why we’ve launched a new NNPBC website and refreshed brand.
The new site is designed to make it easier to access the information and supports nurses and NPs are looking for today, whether that’s professional learning, practice resources, job opportunities, member savings, or updates on the issues affecting nursing in BC.
Our refreshed brand reflects that same evolution, presenting a more current picture of NNPBC as one professional association representing all four nursing designations while recognizing the unique perspectives and needs of RNs, LPNs, RPNs, and NPs.

Our updated Nursing Job Board make it easier to browse (or share) career opportunities from across BC. Over the coming months, we’ll be adding more postings and developing career planning resources to support nurses and NPs at different stages of their careers.
See how NNPBC is advocating for nursing
Our new Advocacy section highlights what we’re hearing from nurses and NPs and how we’re bringing those perspectives forward with government and other decision-makers. We’ve created a dedicated space for member engagement, where you can find opportunities to share your perspective through surveys, focus groups, virtual events and more.
And when you want to stay current, the News section gives you one place to find the latest updates, announcements and blogs on NNPBC’s work and the issues affecting nursing in BC.
Find current resources and supports
Making current, evidence-informed resources easier to find was one of our top priorities. Our new searchable Content Library brings together learning materials, practice resources, advocacy content, and other information that was previously spread across our site. Instead of needing to know where something lives, you can now search and filter by topic, designation or content area.
A new approach to designation-specific content
If you’ve used the previous website, you may notice the separate RN, LPN, RPN, and NP portals are gone. Those portals reflected NNPBC’s previous governance structure, when each nursing designation had its own council. Since then, our governance model has evolved to make the organization more responsive, strengthen member participation and support more effective advocacy.
Today, NNPBC is led by a Board of Directors that is supported by governance committees and the Nurse Practitioner Leadership Committee, which advises and engages on NP advocacy issues.
Our website has evolved with the same goals in mind. Rather than separating resources into four different portals, we’ve introduced clear navigation and filtering tools that help you find designation-specific information when you need it, while making it easier to access resources that are relevant across the profession. We’ve also made more content available to all nurses and NPs and not just members, so more people benefit from what a professional association offers. This also helps NNPBC build a broader base for advocacy across the nursing profession.
There will always be supports and information that are unique to RNs, LPNs, RPNs, or NPs. What’s changed is how they’re organized. If you’re looking for something specific and can’t find it, please let us know. Your feedback will help us keep developing and sharing the resources you need.
Manage your membership
For members, we’ve also launched a new self-serve Member Portal, where you can manage the administrative side of your membership, including updating your personal and professional information. That means less back-and-forth with NNPBC for routine updates and changes.
And we’re not done yet
A website should continue to evolve alongside the people and profession it serves. As we look ahead, our focus is on continuing to grow the ways NNPBC supports nurses and NPs. That includes more practice supports for your day-to-day work, new opportunities to share your perspectives and inform our advocacy priorities, expanded mental health supports, and a regularly refreshed mix of member benefits and savings.
