NNPBC membership includes mental health supports that make it easier for nurses and NPs to look after their own health and wellbeing, so you can continue supporting others.

Accessible, discounted counselling services
Whether you’re navigating stress, burnout, a major life change or simply looking for additional support, help is available. Through NNPBC’s partnership with Advica Health, all nurses and nurse practitioners in BC, as well as their immediate family members, can access fast, confidential virtual mental health support.
What’s included:
- Free 24/7 bilingual mental health support, with every call answered within minutes
- Discounted virtual counselling at $110 per hour with a masters-level clinician
- One complimentary therapy session (one hour) per user each year
- Self-guided iCBT programs, including lessons and skill-building exercises to help manage anxiety and depression
Resources and learning
NNPBC curates articles, webinars, and evidence-based resources on wellness and psychological health in the workplace. These include guidance on managing stress, maintaining boundaries and building supportive teams.
Pathways to wellness
These self-directed modules and reflective guides, generously funded by the Canadian Nurses Foundation, can be undertaken at any time and aim to provide nursing professionals with tools to manage their mental health needs.
