In this public webinar, representatives from the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC), and the Midwives Association of BC (MABC) provided an overview of the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA) and what it means for nurses, nurse practitioners and midwives in British Columbia.
Speakers explored key elements of the legislation, including regulatory oversight, discipline processes, equity and discrimination considerations, and the distinct roles of regulatory colleges and professional associations under the HPOA.
