In 2024–25, NNPBC continued to grow its work to support nurses and nurse practitioners across BC. This included more advocacy and policy work, new and updated practice supports, stronger education and research activities and continued work to celebrate nursing impact and leadership.
Highlights from 2024–2025:
Empowering your practice: From NPs and nurses working in primary care to RNCPs, NNPBC provided tools, resources and supports that helped you strengthen, sustain, and expand your practice.
Supporting continuous learning: Webinars and learning events throughout the year created opportunities for nurses and NPs to hear from experts, learn from their peers, and celebrate nursing excellence.
Championing systems change: Our advocacy provided actionable recommendations and insights on primary care integration, nurse educator roles, and emerging public health issues like measles resurgence.
Promoting excellence in education and research: A first-of-its-kind Nurse Educator Leadership Table is setting shared priorities across 21 nursing schools, while NNPBC supported both provincial and national research projects to advance knowledge translation in nursing.
